Here at Baci, we are excited to be working with SARDAA an organization helping to break the stigma of schizophrenia and other mental illnesses. Schizophrenia is a neurological disorder that affects many people. 1 in 100 individuals suffer from the neurological disorder Schizophrenia.

People with Schizophrenia are at risk to die 25 years earlier than the general population. So, BACI wants to do what it can for an illness that doesn’t get nearly enough attention, one that unfortunately also comes with a stigma attached.

SARDAA (Schizophrenia and Related Disorders Alliance of America) an organization working to improve the lives of those affected by psychosis through advocacy, education and support. Its goals are to change the perceptions of psychosis and the people affected, reclassify Schizophrenia as a neurological disorder to improve care and treatment and to eliminate stigma and discrimination of individuals affected by psychosis.

SARDAA is hosting its very first NYC Fundraiser on October 24th. Baci will be helping to Shatter the Stigma of the neurological brain disorder Schizophrenia by donating 10, $100 giftcards to the event. For more info on the organization and the event, click here.
